I'm Jan and my husband is Larry. Together we raise Harlequin, Mantle and Blue Great Danes on our three acre property in the small rural community of Wellington, Ohio. We have three children: Nikki, Kory and Andrea. Kory is serving in the United States Air Force and Andrea is attending the Brooks Institute of Photography.

I am a member of the Great Dane Club of America as well as a member and Treasurer of the Great Dane Club of Cleveland. Larry and I are very active in showing our Great Danes: I owner-handle and he is the ringside groomer. This past year we “Specialed” Lola; she was the only Blue in the Top Twenty and was ranked #14 at year end. It was a very exciting year having another one of our Blues in the Top Twenty. Lotus (Lola’s sister) was ranked #10 in 2008. Lotus also set another “Blue” record: on April 20, 2008, she was the 3rd Blue to go Best in Show. Lotus is owned by Mark and Mandy Robinson and will be bred in 2010.

We believe in breeding for the betterment of the breed. We breed by the Great Dane Club of America Code of Ethics with particular attention paid to temperament, health and longevity. Our Danes are OFA'd for the hips and elbows, thyroid tested, eye CERF and cardio CERF. We will be breeding our mantle bitch Dora this winter, check back to our Breedings page for updates.

Though we truly love this breed, Great Danes are not for everyone. If you are considering purchasing a Great Dane puppy please do your homework and thoroughly research the breed and breeders. Do not buy your puppy from a backyard breeder. The price might seem too good to pass up but believe me the money you think you are saving will end up costing you more in vet bills and heartache.
